Earth Positive Apparel
Some but not all, of our t-shirts are printed on "Earth Positive Apparel". These organic cotton T-shirts are ethically made and manufactured solely using renewable green energy generated from wind and solar power.
If the Fluid High T-shirt venture starts to work well, we aim to move all of our garments to being "Earth Positive Apparel".
Background
In the early days we didn't want a kite T-shirt that was essentially the logo of our kite or board brand. So we designed and made a few items for ourselves and friends. We also sold a few.
We are no longer the only company doing this, but we have our own style and design ideas that we hope you like.
Brand Philosophy
Our designs stay as being just the design idea. They don't default always include the name or the logo of our brand. (The term "brand" originates from the branding of livestock for ownership and identification purposes.) Unless of course you buy the design that is our logo!
Longer term we may include our logo on the label. But this won't be designed to be a visible part of the worn item.
We hope the products speak for themselves.
Fluid High + Taklaman History
Fluid High made early kite surf boards. Dom who set up and ran the board company has since moved on. When I saw that Dom was no longer using the name I gave him a call and he gave us the OK to take over the name. Thanks Dom !
Before that we had the slightly dubious but potentially original name Taklaman. Our own derivative of a Tibetan name for one of the large deserts to the north of Tibet in what is now China. These desert areas are held in great reverence and respect. We believe that a large part of kitesurfing or any other natural environment activity should include respecting and enjoying the forces of the wind and water.
